Wittgenstein research correspondence, 1966-1979.

Correspondence of Mary Elwyn McHale, O.P. with family, friends, colleagues, and students of Ludwig Wittgenstein during the year 1966. The work was conducted at The Catholic University of America as part of the work for an M.A. thesis entitled "Ludwig Wittgenstein: A Critical Survey of Source Material for a Philosophical Biography." The threefold purpose of the thesis was: 1) to work out a chronology of Wittgenstein's life, 2) to locate and describe correspondence, and 3) to collect personal reminiscences. Also includes a copy of the thesis and of her dissertation, "The Notion of the Mystical in Wittgenstein's Tractatus," 1979.
